TRIP INTRODUCTION
Mera Peak (6461 meters/ 2,119 feet) is a heights
trekking peak in Nepal located in the Khumbu Valley.
This popular peak is located on the line between the
trekking and climbing of a mountain in terms of
adventure. Most people climb this peak during the
autumn as it is the best time of the year to make it
happen. During the autumn the weather is good for
the view of majestic mountains. Most of the high
mountains above eight thousand like Lhotse, Cho

the attending physician and to stock up with
necessary drugs before you depart
Medical services in Nepal are limited in mountainous
areas. If you wear glasses, it is better to have at itself a
spare couple.
ALTITUDE SICKNESS: Any person traveling above
2500m can get easy symptoms of a mountain illness.
The first signs are headache, increased fatigue,
sleeplessness, appetite loss, liquid loss by an organism,
and puffiness. At the emergence of such signs, it is
necessary to remain at this height before the full
acclimatization of an organism. It is necessary to use
from 2nd to 4 liters of liquid a day. If symptoms don't
pass and the state worsens, it is necessary to go down
immediately. Sometimes even 300m can play a
crucial role. Planning the travel, leave spare days on
acclimatization at height 3700m and 4300m. After
4000m try not to rise more than 500m in one day. You
can inadequately estimate the condition therefore
always follow the advice of the accompanying guide
or locals.
For “Mera Peak”, you travel from 1350M (Kathmandu)
to heights altitude of 6,476m (21246 ft.)Mera Peak
within 19 days, Every day you will stay overnight in
higher elevation, therefore you are open to Acquit
Mountain Sickness (AMS) or altitude sickness. The best
advice during the expedition, inform about your
physical condition frequently.
DISTANCE AND ROUTE: There are two main routes to
get to the Mera base Camp bt whichever you take the
approximate distance you travel from Lukla would be
about 120+ Kilometers and 16-19 days. Other than that
the trail is rough, steep, and snowy. The short route
which is Lukla-Zatr La Pass-Tasnag-Mera Basa Camp-
High Camp and Summit is a short route but difficult
one, while Lukla-Paiya-Thongnak-Khare-Base Camp-
High Camp and Summit is a long route, it gives you a
long time to get acclimatize against the altitude
sickness also since this route is popular among
travelers it has better trail condition, as well as better
lodgings, compare to the short one.
WEATHER AND TEMPRATURE: Weather conditions on
the mountain are unpredictable. It might be sunny
during the day and cold as well as windy at night,
especially at high altitudes similarly the temperature
can drop drastically at any time. Sudden rainstorms or
snow flurries are always possibilities. No rain or
snowfall days are vital for easy climbing. If it is not
meet the condition it will cause hard or impossible to
climb.
PHYSICAL FITNESS: It is an important factor for
climbings, you got to be physically fit. If you are not
then you have to build one apart from the physical
fitness you also have to have some climbing
technique go through. Mera Peak climbing trail has
some challenging sections that require such qualities.
It is recommended to work out for at least 2-3 months
before your final departure.
BEST TIME TO CLIMD MERA PEAK: Best time to travel
to the Mountains in Nepal is Autumn and Spring
either you trek or climb, The temperature during
these seasons is stable and the sky mostly clear. There
are minimum chances of rain or snowfall. Winter and
Manson are the most extreme season for trekking or
climbing due to the maximum chances of rain below
snowline and snowfall above.
EMERGENCY AND YOUR SUPPORT TEAM: All our
guide are well trained in first aid and can handle most
of the basic illness that occurs at high altitude. Every
group equipped with a basic first aid kit, every traveler
must have full travel insurance before coming to
Nepal. And should make available a copy of the policy
at our office in Kathmandu. If an emergency occurs,
we will evacuate you from the mountain to one of the
internationally recognized hospitals/clinics in
Kathmandu and contact your insurance company.

amount of time available to you and we will take care
of the rest. We will help design a tour and work out a
comfortable itinerary that best suits your needs.
